Approach

Based on years of presence in the area (from the Freehouse Foundation), the Afrikaanderwijk Cooperative knows the power of local communities and small-scale open organizations in which learning and working comes together. The cooperative is a neighborhood enterprise that realizes that the effort that man produces is scarce and therefore valuable for the society.

The Cooperative increases reliance and strengthens infrastructures. This way we create opportunities to increase the self-organizing capacity of an area by offering labor, services and products, while at the same time preventing waste of talent.
